BMPOA Owners,
With spring hopefully right around the corner, just a friendly reminder concerning our spring chipping coming soon. Chipping will be performed beginning in April.
All deadfall/brush must be piled within 5-7 feet of the edge of the road. Piles must be completed by March 31st.
Contractors will be surveying the amounts on April 1st and 2nd to provide us quotes. Unfortunately, due to disagreements last year about when piles were formed or placed next to the road, all BMPOA roads with piles will be documented via pictures and video. Any piles placed after March 31 will be left until the next round of chipping. Only a few loads of chips will be staged within the BMPOA area for owners to use. All other chips will be removed from the mountain.
As a reminder, no deadfall larger than 6 inches in diameter will be chipped or picked up. As most are aware, BMPOA applies for a grant each year from Virginia Department of Forestry to
help offset the cost of the chipping. In order to receive the grant, we must meet certain criteria concerning labor hours or financial spending in performing the deadfall collection and chipping.
If you collect deadfall for chipping or pay to have it done, it is very important for you provide us the following information:
Please email this information to Patrick Patton at quietgeneral@yahoo.com directly or by clicking the link below.
Thank you for your time and efforts with the annual deadfall collection and chipping. We look forward to another successful year.
Hi everyone,
The insurance company has expressed concern over people standing on the wall at the lodge or actually climbing beyond it to look over the ledge. It has been made clear that if this behavior continues, our insurance coverage could be in jeopardy. We have taken steps to incorporate strong language prohibiting this behavior in the contracts for those who rent the lodge. And we are asking all residents who visit the lodge to please not climb on the wall or go beyond it. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
